Pay for Hosting with Monero

Monero is the private-by-default way to fund your ChainVPS balance, hiding the sender, receiver, and amount at the protocol level so your hosting top-ups leave no readable trail.

Network

Monero (native XMR blockchain)

Privacy

Private

Network fees

Low. Monero fees are dynamic but typically a few cents per transaction; a higher priority setting raises the fee modestly for faster inclusion.

Settlement

Top-ups are usually credited within minutes once the network confirms the transaction.

Paying with Monero

Monero (XMR) is a standalone privacy cryptocurrency with its own blockchain, where confidential transactions are mandatory rather than optional. It uses ring signatures, stealth addresses, and Ring Confidential Transactions (RingCT) so that every payment automatically conceals who sent it, who received it, and how much moved.

Privacy: Monero is genuinely private by default: ring signatures hide the sender among decoys, stealth addresses hide the recipient, and RingCT hides the amount, so the public ledger reveals almost nothing about a given payment. Because privacy is mandatory for all transactions, no single payment stands out the way an opt-in shielded transaction would on a transparent chain.

Best for: Anyone who wants their hosting payments to be private by default, with no public link between their wallet, the amount paid, and their ChainVPS account.

How it works

Top up in four steps

  1. 1

    Choose Monero at top-up

On your ChainVPS balance page, start a top-up and select Monero (XMR) as the payment currency. ChainVPS uses prepaid billing, so you fund a balance and your services draw from it.

  2. 2

    Get your payment address

The checkout displays a unique XMR address (and, if shown, a payment ID) along with the exact amount to send. Use the address exactly as generated for this top-up.

  3. 3

    Send from your wallet

Open your non-custodial Monero wallet, paste the address, enter the requested amount, and broadcast the transaction. A standard priority is fine for a top-up.

  4. 4

    Balance credits automatically

Leave the checkout open or return to your dashboard; your balance is credited automatically once the network confirms the payment, with no manual step needed.

Questions

Paying with Monero — FAQ

Is paying with Monero actually private?

Yes. Monero conceals the sender, receiver, and amount for every transaction by default, so unlike transparent chains there is no public record tying your wallet, the amount, and your ChainVPS top-up together.

How fast will my ChainVPS balance be credited?

Top-ups are typically credited within minutes. The exact timing depends on the network, and your balance updates automatically once the transaction confirms.

What does it cost to send Monero?

Monero network fees are low, usually only a few cents per transaction. Fees are dynamic, and choosing a higher priority raises the fee slightly in exchange for faster inclusion.
